Brand design for a music blog
Don’t think we’re not home with the downeys – our kick-bottom, mother lovin’ groove machine has worked with some pretty rad clients man. With loose trouser belts and anoraks with hoods, gym shoes and everything. The Fifth Top fitted like the artist formerly known as Prince’s glove.
Objective
We were asked to create a striking visual identity, tone of voice and brand mark for a new music blog (and build the blog).
Method
A verbal and written brief ensured we were clear on what our client wanted. We had a workshop to understand the brand and brand values and were able to quickly turn that into a visual identity with a distinctive look and feel. The logo design fed into the design of a family of icons for use within the blog. We sent through a couple of blog designs to make sure we had understood the layout and content required. Once the client was happy with the branding and blog templates we had created, we built all of this into the blog, tested it and put it live. Minimal training was required and the blog is now thriving.
